spending and revelations…
When I buy things online, I do alot of reasearch… for example, I decided to buy a GPS, after looking through all the models I decided on the Garmin nuvi 680. The features and brand name are what got me hooked, I started to shop for the best price. After a while I found it for $600 or so at Amazon.com. I didn’t think too much about it, but now that I do, that’s the cost of 2 round-trip airfares to Hawaii!
So the question is “is the GPS worth it?” I have to say that to was totally worth it while traveling, not having to ask for directions or all that stuff was great. In the day to day stuff not too important though.

so I got my hands on a soekris box… pretty neat, it’s not much to look at, but I pxebooted it and used netcat to network install m0n0wall. Now it’s pretty cool, it’s actually alot faster than the Linksys WRTSL54GS running DD-WRT. I’ve also setup a site-to-site IPsec VPN, and PPTP for connecting via a Windows XP/Vista laptop.
