spoke too soon, I take it all back!
Okay, so my Motorola Q died… meaning it’s an expensive brick.
I called up Sprint to have it replaced, I’ve only had it 21 days!!! they said I could either 1) wait 7 days for a replacement, or 2) take it into a store to get it replaced.
I call up every single store and finally find one that has the phone in stock. I drive there and they tell me they can’t help me. Apparently the plan I signed up for doesn’t allow the stores to help you, you must get all your “support” done over the phone or online. WTF!
Anyways, I’m now phoneless for the next couple of days. I can’t even activate my old phone because it’s not compatible with the new plan!!! On top of it all, they botched my 2000 minute/5 phone plan which was supposed to be $100, and it came out to $300. I spent an hour this morning having them fix it. In the end it’s the same as what I had before… I just get more minutes which I don’t really use…
No commentslove the Motorola Q and Sprint.com
So last night I finally sat down and got the bluetooth snyc’ing to work. It’s great, I can plug in the phone at night and it just syncs to my laptop in the same room. Now all I need is a BT headset so I can answer calls while the phone charges.
At work I’ve sort of become the go-to guy for setting up your Motorola Q. One co-worker has already switched from T-mobile to Sprint, got the same phone & plan as me and loves it. 2 others want to do the same thing, and another guy who hated the phone (he told everyone it sucked) had me setup his phone yesterday and he’s happy with it now.
Sprint definitely has a good phone, it might not be perfect, but once you learn all the tricks and have it setup the way you want it works great. The unlimited data plan is handy too.
No comments199, I did it!
My weight has been a concern for a few years now. At one point not so long ago I was 250lbs, that was when even my baggy clothes were a little snug. It eventually settled down to 225, I got a scale about 2 weeks ago. I was 206, today I got on and I’m 199.0 and % body fat went down 1%… Still have a ways to go, but at least all my clothes fit again.
2 commentson the fence with the Motorola Q…
After spending all night and doing a complete reset of my new Motorola Q, I think I’ve got it setup the way I want… Almost.
I still can’t sync via bluetooth, but I was able to import the certificate from the company email server and now it syncs faster than my Outlook client at the desk. I did the speed hack, works great so far.
The one bad thing, after all this setup, the Q was “frozen” this morning… I power cycled it and that fixed it, but then after my shower this morning, the screen was stuck, I could hear the phone ring, but the screen was off… weird huh? The other really bad thing… my battery went dead overnight. It looks like this is one of those phones you have to leave plugged in when not in use.
No commentsgotta love sprint and loyalty
I’ve been a Sprint PCS mobile customer for 10 years now, I didn’t even know its been that long until I called Sprint today to cancel my account, they ended up making me an offer I couldn’t refuse.
1 - 2000 minutes to share
2 - unlimited data plans on all phones
3 - 5 phones in the family plan
4 - unlimited 7pm nights and weekends
All that for $100/month that’s only like $20/phone!
No commentsstressful…
Life is stressful, everyday I worry about everything, my family, my work, my car, my home, my bills… you get the idea. Sometimes it seems so hard to just live life, for the past month I have been trying to go out and do something on the weekend, the weather has been great. At first I was sick, then Leeya was sick, then I spent all weekend working on wedding stuff, then Spike got sick. It’s so hard to just take a break from everything and relax sometimes. Life just keeps coming at you.

Spike got hurt somehow… he must have run into something and it damaged his eye. We took him to a veterinarian and then an ophthalmologist, after treating him every hour with a all kinds of drops, pills, ointments last weekend, he had a visit today.
Good news, he doesn’t need surgery… there was another pug in the office who just finished surgery, he didn’t look so good. It’ll still be a few weeks and months before he completely heals, but I’m relieved to hear he will recover without surgery.
