managing stress in a fast-paced world

I watched Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift this morning before getting out of bed and going to work. This movie has one of the worst storylines and some of the worst actors and actresses I have ever seen… still I kept on watching. Even now in my too old to drive crazy days, fast cars are just one of my many guilty pleasures.

Most of my friends know me as a die hard 24 fan, there is something about the weekly suspense that I really love. To tell you the truth, with 5 seasons gone by it’s actually starting to get to be a little too much. I am still looking forward to the 6th season though. Right now it looks like NBC has a really good show Heroes, the first 5 episodes have been really good, I keep waiting for next weeks episode.

So shortly after bringing my server back to life, PG&E decided to cut the power for a few hours… I came home to a beeping server, apparently one of the drives in the raid didn’t come back.

Anyways, it’s all back once again. I’m going to build a bigger, better, more robust server and get all the redundancy setup.

I finally got the sites back up, it wasn’t easy but I took some shortcuts and got everything working again. So over the past few months I’ve been extremely involved with work. My company had a need to build something in a very short timeline and I was asked to help work on it. To cut the story short, I agreed to do it, we finished a few days behind schedule, and now it’s currently in beta.

Anyways, now I’m on a different project, this one definitely is more work, in another month or so hopefully it’ll be done and I can take some time off to relax a bit.
