more phamily accidents
Tonight around 7pm my brother and sister got into a small accident with the family car. I drove over to help them move the car off the road and assess the damage… turned out to be a blown tire, luckily just one, so we swapped that out and then I noticed the green stuff coming from the radiator… yep, the curb he hit cracked the brand new radiator.

I remember months ago when I tried to change my plan, they tried to add ANOTHER 2 years onto my already existing 2 year contract! It’s not like I want to switch providers, but come on… a cellphone contract that expires in 2007? sheez.
Today though, the lady was much nicer, she dropped my plan down to a lower level, changed my off-peak time from 9pm to 7pm, and added the unlimited PCS Vision plan. All this for the same price I used to pay, and on top of that, my contract date doesn’t change! woohoo!
No commentsstereotypes
Is it so bad that people have certain stereotypes in their head? What if that stereotype is generally true, but not always true and the person realizes that? Really… what is the harm in having some small idea of what a certain person is going to be like, what if it turns out to be true, then what does it matter in the end?
No commentsweird people
what is it with some people? there’s this guy who takes the same train as me everyday, whenever I pass by him, he stares at me, kinda like the stare as if I was an alien or something.
Other people are weird in other ways… yesterday there was another couple, an older couple, the man was completely useless. Not only that, but he was a loud talker, you know those people who just talk so loud that you can hear them even if you’re far, far away. I say he’s useless because all he did was sit there while his wife went and got breakfast, when she came back, he just kept on complaining, he’s one of those people who just can’t be happy with anything.
The people I run into these days are so strange, makes me want to just stay at home and never go outside.
No commentsATI’s HDTV Wonder
It looks like ATI is going to be making one nice HDTV add-on card for PC’s. This is great! Combine this with BeyondTV or Media Center and who needs Tivo?

This morning on the train I fell asleep and then woke up when they announced Oakland was the next stop, this is usually less than 5 minutes before the stop. Well, I must have hit the snooze or something, next thing I know when I wake up is that the train has been there for 5 minutes already, the other people who I usually see every morning are already out of sight.
I used to think that the operators would do a walk through and make sure everyone was off, but now I’m kinda worried.
No commentsmy connection is working again!
Last couple of days have been a little aggravating, I lost my net connection and was forced to use my cellphone as a modem… then I accidentally lost my windows partition on my laptop. I’ve managed to recover the data, but it looks like a reinstall is gonna be needed….
No commentsa day in my life
I often wonder what people see or think when they meet me. What do they see that they like or dislike?

I don’t think I’ve ever shared pictures of my morning commute. This is what I usually see every morning as the train goes up through the marshy bay arould the Fremont/Milpitas/Alviso area. It’s also the one area where I lose all wireless reception.
The Damage
Looks pretty bad huh? I picked up my car and drove exactly 4 blocks to the freeway on-ramp, turned right and both tires on the left side of the car deflated, I must have hit something, there’s a pretty good bend in the rear wheel. The front looks like it’s just got some major curb rash.
Anyways, I called a few places and the general prices are in the low $100’s to fix each wheel, but then these wheels have a special “chromium” finish which is $50 more. So in the end I think it will be closer to $200 each wheel to fix.
